    Affiliation: Dr. Curtis is the Charles and Mary Bauer Professor of Medicine, Distinguished Professor of Medicine, and Chair of the Department of Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is a Past President of the Heart Rhythm Society and a recipient of their Distinguished Service Award. Her research interests include implantable device therapy and clinical trials in atrial fibrillation. She was the Principal Investigator of the Block HF trial and has been on the steering committees of many other trials of implantable device therapy. Dr. Curtis has over 270 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and reviews. She is a member of the Association of University Cardiologists.

    Affiliation: Dr. Aryana is a classically-trained cardiac electrophysiologist at the Mercy General Hospital and Dignity Health Heart and Vascular Institute in Sacramento, California. He received his training at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. His research interests include catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia and left atrial appendage closure as alternative therapy to oral anticoagulation. Dr. Aryana serves as an international proctor for the procedure of cryoballoon ablation of atrial fibrillation. In addition, he has a special interest in epicardial ablation. He is also the principal faculty and director of a nationally-recognized epicardial course which provides hands-on training to invasive cardiologists and cardiac electrophysiologists.

    Affiliation: Dr. Arshad Jahangir is Director of the Center for Integrative Research on Cardiovascular Aging (CIRCA), Aurora University of Wisconsin Medical Group, Aurora Health Care. He is leading a team of multidisciplinary researchers in exploration of molecular mechanisms responsible for cardiovascular disease in the elderly and development of interventions to reduce such susceptibilities. Before joining Aurora Health Care nearly two years ago, Dr. Jahangir was Professor of Medicine, Consultant Cardiologist (Electrophysiology) and Director of the CardioGerontology Research Laboratory at Mayo Clinic, where he worked for 21 years, including Residency and Fellowship training in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology.

He was trained as an electrical engineer. His early interests were in the clinical pharmacology of antiarrhythmic drugs and ambulatory ECG monitoring.
